A quality two days off…
Its nice to have Thursday and Friday off, get some time to relax and write some stories for the site. We woke up early today to go to practice and it was unreal how hot it was at 10:30 in the mornin. I was preparin for a heat wave, but out of nowhere, the clouds came in, and a possible thunderstorm is headin this way. That’d be sweet to see one since I guess they are way better than the wimpy ones we have in Oregon.
The team practiced today at Crieghton University today, and their baseball facility is horrendous. There’s hardly any seating, and they have the old turf in the outfield and the new turf in the infield. Then they have real dirt around the bags, and the brown turf like Goss has everywhere else in the infield. Yeah, pretty weird lookin. After seein Nebraska’s baseball field, I was a tad shocked to see how bad this one was. Their softball field next door wasnt too bad, but what impressed me was their soccer stadium. Holy schneikees! Easily the nicest soccer I’ve ever seen (even though I’ve only seen like four or five).
Rice. North Carolina. Who do you want to win tonight? Both teams are pretty damn good, I dont know who I’d rather play. UNC is playin lights out right now, so I’m going to lean towards Rice winning.
Well, time to get grub, go Owls! Peace.
